Great Find: Vintage Givenchy

This vintage Givenchy was a seriously GREAT FIND!! Over the weekend I went to a few local consignment shops here in Maryland and Washington DC, one is called Mustard Seed.

Back story: I work in politics and last night I was able to attend a reception with my boss hosted by Vice President Biden and his lovely wife Jill.  Let me first say, our VP is very personable, funny and charming! In my short time of being around him I can honestly say all the charisma he shows on tv is how he is in person. My boss (also in the picture) is great at functions like this, with every person who stopped to talk to him, he got them to take a picture with me!!! 

Last night was AMAZING and completely nerve-racking all at once. But I wouldn't change a thing! Once I get a copy of the other pictures I will certainly share them.

Great Buys: MAC & NARS

Over the Valentine's Day weekend I picked up a few new things from MAC. 

A neon pink and slightly lighter red. I wear both pink and red lips regularly but, I decided to try out these products I have heard a lot about and I really like them....

First Up: 

I feel like I need a lip liner just to help set the color because of its intensity, but until then I just used the actual lip stick to line my lips.

The Candy Yum-Yum has become my go to lip for any of my nights out. 

Now my new red lip combo:

 Now I love my ruby woo because I feel like its PERFECT  for my skin tone, but I've noticed its become fairly popular and this Russian Red and Jungle Red lipliner are a very close 2nd! 

You can't be afraid of color people!

Wu-Tang

This past week I've been inspired by Drake's Wu-Tang song for this look. So I put this look together for a party bus event.  I'm not the type to wear a "party dress" for those types of functions.

 Cute and simple gets it done every time! 

I've seen this style hat on a girl with a cute bob and went on the hunt for my own! I'm seriously in love with this baby...It will most likely be in my next few post. It was only $12 bucks! [STEAL!]
